Famous worldwide, Corton is the only red Grand Cru appellation in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyard is located to the north of Beaune on a gently-sloped hillside, exposed south-east. The vines flourish here on stony soil with a dominance of clay, which is typically characteristic of the Corton wines. We vinify this Grand Cru in oak tanks from diverse origins. It is then aged for 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, in our centuries-old cellars.
This Corton Grand Cru has a beautiful red robe with cherry red reflections. The nose is a subtle mix of smokey notes and spicy aromas with a light touch of liquorice. Fine and elegant, this robust wine has a supple structure with harmonious tannins, which give way to a long finish intensively flavoured by fruity notes. It will beautifully accompany the finest meals with red meats and game, dishes cooked in red wine and fine cheeses. Serve at 17°C. Lay for 7 to 10 years.
