Gevrey-Chambertin is a famous appellation from the Côte de Nuits, known as much for its size as for its great wines. Vinification is carried out according to Burgundian tradition and aims above all at preserving the balance, harmony and expression of these remarkable terroirs. This wine was oak barrel-aged for 14 to 16 months in the estate's cellars.
Our Gevrey-Chambertin is a lovely ruby red colour with some raspberry coloured nuances. It has aromas of ripe red and black fruit on the nose with notes of oak and spice. Over the years it will develop more animal notes, like musk and fur. It is silky, well-structured, tannic and well-balanced on the palate. Try this Gevrey-Chambertin with red meats, small game and fine, classic cheeses. Serve at 17°C. Ready to drink or lay down for 3 to 5 years or more.
