Bouvet-Ladubay has its origins in the tufa-vaulted cellars of the Abbey of St. Florent, where its founder Etienne Bouvet is said to have discovered a treasure. In 1987, Patrice Monmousseau rediscovered this treasure by creating this very special Cuvée that has been aged for the first time in barriques and whose name commemorates this legend.
The fineness of its body clearly makes the charm and opulence of the Chenin grape stand out and is emphasized by the characteristic and delicately smooth tannins. Citrus and brioche flavours are typical of this beautiful and long-lasting aftertaste Saumur wine with fine perlage.
