A treasure worth discovering, this expression honours the local lore of a Spanish galleon said to have broken from the Armada in 1588 and sailed up the Firth of Tayne – now known as Dornoch – before running aground and being swallowed by the swirling currents, its treasures dragged into the depths where they remain to this day.
A classic Glenmorangie backbone, showcasing classic Amontillado sherry cask notes of toffee and caramel, sweet apricots, and some nuttiness. At 43% ABV, a smooth and easy-drinking single malt which will surely be appreciated by new Malt Discovers and current Malt Aficionados alike. Rich, sweet flavours of toffee, brown sugar, tropical fruits (peaches, mango and orange) and a gentle nuttiness, like walnut or Brazil nuts.
