This wine is produced with 100 per cent Zweigelt grapes, fermented in a stainless steel tank, followed by a maturation in used oak barrels, and a large oak cask, for a period of two years. The result is a full-bodied, rich style of red wine, bringing out aromas of red cherry, sour cherry and plum on the nose, while managing to be powerful, yet supple, on the palate, the whole being enriched by the warmth of the Seewinkel wine-region.
Dark ruby-garnet with violet highlights. The nose displays dark berry flavours and fine floral notes. Juicy on the palate, with fine dark berry confit, plum compote and a discrete herbal spice, there are aromas of ripe cherries on the finish.
