This wine from the Wittmann winery is part of a range of excellent wines created exclusively for Gebr. Heinemann. "Limestone rocks" is an ingenious play on words between "limestone", the soil on which this wine grows and "rock" which is called "rock" or "rocks". In English, "rocks" can also stand for "get carried away" or "be super". Because the Wittmann family are convinced that limestone soils are the best subsoil for their Rieslings.
Fine aroma of pale fruits and apple, an elegant clear structure with a juicy freshness. Dry with a luscious acidity which harmonises well with the typically earthy mineral tones, followed by a good finish. An essential Riesling for everyday drinking. Serving temperature: 6–8°C. Works supremely well with vegetables and fish, or on its own simply for fun.
