Die Kerze nicht länger als 3 Stunden brennen lassen oder bis das Schmelzbad die Glaskante erreicht. Den Docht jeweils vor dem erneuten Anzünden auf 0,5 cm schneiden. Dazu 0,5 cm ungeschmolzenes Wachs am Boden der Kerze stehen lassen, um zu verhindern, dass das Glas und die darunter liegende Oberfläche über längere Zeit direkter Hitze ausgesetzt sind. Der Holzdeckel dient als Untersetzer und zum Löschen der Flamme. Wir empfehlen das Glas zu waschen und für Teelichter oder zur Aufbewahrung wiederzuverwenden oder es nach Gebrauch entsprechend zu entsorgen.
