This CRU of Barbera is very special and unique. It was planted 35 years ago in front of the Marchesi di Barolo Winery after uprooting a whole vineyard of premium Nebbiolo. A choice made to prove that terroir is everything and that if if the soil chosen is exceptional and the winemaking is excellent. A glass of velvet elegance and sheer pleasure.
This wine is ruby red in color with brilliant garnet borders. Its fresh and lively nose has distinct traces of blackcurrant, berries, toasted hazelnut and vanilla. Immediately pleasant, balanced and harmonious, the taste is elegant with soft tannins. Barbera Peiragal matches well with all the typical Langhe appetizers, such as veal with tuna sauce and vegetable soufflés, pastas with rich sauces and boiled or roasted meats.
