Egri Bikavér (Bull's Blood) is the most famous red wine brand in Hungary. It is a blended wine made of 5 varieties, aged in hungarian oak barrels for 18 months. The base wine of the Bikavér is Kékfrankos, a native variety which gives the wine a nice structure. Only the most outstanding vintages produce Superior, which is a higher category of the Bikavér.
