A robust, muscular whisky. Speyside whiskies are known to be fruity and floral, but as the bad boy of Speyside, Craigellachie defies with its oil fired, rich character. Craigellachie 23YO Small Batch was distilled in 1995 and although Craigellachie is typically aged in a mixture of ex- bourbon and sherry casks, this exceptional dram was matured in 100% Oloroso Sherry casks. This unique bottling of 23-year-old Craigellachie solely uses only the finest Oloroso Sherry casks, to age the new limited small batch expression, imparting a subtle richness to this famously robust whisky. Notes of cinnamon, rich dried fruits, creamy vanilla and the signature notes of pineapple chunks in syrup emerge, invigorated with a zing of menthol freshness
