Colour: a deep garnet red. Nose: the highly complex nose offers aromas of ripe black fruit combined with smoke and toast, going on to develop notes of liquorice and fine spice. Palate: the attack is rich, full-bodied and fresh. The very full mi-palate reveals pronounced black fruit flavours over an elegant tannic structure, with fresh fruit returning on the finish. A fine balance between fruit and oak. Menu suggestions: a most enjoyable accompaniment to grilled rib steack, steack with mushroom or rabbit in wine and mushroom sauce. Serving temperature: 18 - 19° C.
