Bertani Valpolicella Ripasso is made in the north of Italy. The area runs along the foothills of the Alps from Lake Garda to Venice. Veneto is the most diverse wine region in all of Italy. About 20% of the Italian DOC wines come from this region. In the north around Lake Garda, moraine gravel is more common. In the western plains, alluvial gravel and fertile arable soil are dominant. The mountains of the Alps shield Veneto from cold winds. This allows the vines to thrive even at high altitudes.
