Hakushu 12 year old is the heart of the Hakushu brand. It is made with naturally processed water from the Japanese Southern Alps and fermented in a wooden washback inhabited by lactic acid bacteria from the forest. After distillation in direct-fire pot stills, it is put into small white oak casks and matured for 12 years or longer.
