"Altenberg" is the best vineyard location for Blaufränkisch in the Nittnaus family wine estate. The calcerous soil of the south slope provides perfect conditions for extraordinarily good wine quality. Furthermore, the Nittnaus family makes sure that the grapes can ripe optimal: Low yield per vine, high maturity level of the grapes, careful, manual picking of grapes. The result is a wonderfully complex, flavourful Blaufränkisch!

Dark ruby red with an opaque rim. The smell is delicate and diverse: Blackberries and violets together with a pinch of pipe tobacco. On the palate a very elegant style of Blaufränkisch presents. The tannins are silky and structured. The sensation is long-lasting and all-over the palate.
