Sof is a blend of Cabernet Franc and Syrah. The vineyard is located near the village of Bibbona, 6km from the Tyrrhenian Sea. Sof has been inspired by Sophia Antinori, the daughter of Marchese Lodovico Antinori.
Marchese Lodovico Antinori is one of the personalities who have most affected the success of Italian wine in the world, founder in the early 1980s of the iconic Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, where Ornellaia and Masseto, among the most established Italian wines, were born, desired and internationally quoted of which he was the inventor. Later, he created other Super Tuscan wines, such as Biserno and recently Lodovico and Tenuta del Nicchio.
Sof, this provence-style Rosé from Bibbona, is a marvelous addition of its own from a talented winemaker that can produce more than outstanding red wines from the region of Bolgheri.
