This powerfull red wine is the expression of the historical origin of the Baron Philippe de Rothschild company, created by the Baron Philippe in 1930 in Pauillac. The rich terroir of Pauillac combined with the knowhow of the Baron Philippe deRotshchild's winemakers by monitoring the optimum harvest date for each parcel, and vinification of each parcel seperately in order ot preserve the variety and personality of each terroir and grape variety gives an elegant and powerful, well structured red wine with black fruit aromas.

ASPECT: Deep garnet red with a crimson hue. NOSE: After opening on roasted coffeebean and blackcurrant notes, the nose gains greater complexity with airing, revealing vanilla, blackberry, truffle and cherry. PALATE: Forthright and hefty, the attack reveals tannins whose elegance and power make immediate impression. A mid-palate on blackcurrant and roasted coffeebean flavours leads into a beautifully long finish, underpinned by high-quality tannins, the reflection of an exceptional terroir.
