Saint-Émilion, in the mid-19th century, the shadow of a black horse working in the vines… Prodigiously brave, both powerful and elegant, the horse was known for ensuring the quality and success of each harvest. Thus began the legend of the Grands Vins de Cheval Noir, a pure and distinguished expression of exceptional soils.
Existing since 1895, the name of Cheval Noir is one of the
oldest in the region of Bordeaux.
