Domäne Wachau is one of Austria’s most renowned wineries, based in Austria’s most prestigious wine-growing region, the Wachau. Steep terraced vineyards, a cool, marginal climate and meagre primary rock soils define the wines. Bright straw yellow. Subtle and playful on the nose with aromas of white pepper, some tobacco and exotic fruit, mango and pineapple. The refreshing acidity pairs well with the powerful, elegant body and medium alcohol level. Spicy white pepper and a hint of fresh herbs on the palate. Long finish! Serve well chilled. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to grilled fish, deep-fried dishes, the traditional Austrian "Tafelspitz", as well as grilled white meat such as chicken or veal.
