The Leitz family has been growing grapes since 1744. Johannes Leitz took over the winery in 1985 with 2.5 hectares of vineyards. Since then, the winery has grown steadily and is now the largest family winery in Hesse. In addition to the size, the quality has also increased. The highlight was in 2019 when we received 5 grapes and 5 stars from Gault-Millau and Eichelmann. Together with its membership of the VDP, Weingut Leitz is one of the best wineries in Germany.
