A gentle touch distillery, Royal Brackla is nestled in the Scottish Highlands. Producing a spirit that’s ideal for finishing in fortified wine casks, Royal Brackla Single Malt Royal Highland Scotch is the pinnacle of sherry cask maturation, using skills honed over 200 years of experimentation and development. The Distillery, founded in 1812, stands proudly on the Cawdor Estate – a historic residence linked with Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Quite literally fit for a king, Royal Brackla is made in the first distillery that was ever granted a Royal Warrant, by King William IV in 1833. Royal Brackla 18 Year Old Whisky is matured in American oak – a combination of first-fill, refill and rechar – and then matured in the finest Palo Cortado sherry casks. This process results in an opulent finish. Rich and exuberant – the full bodied spice of Palo Cortado, and the bright summer breeze of Royal Brackla Malt Whisky elegantly combine as an enticing and complex dram – with notes of rich spices, creamy vanilla, big, succulent soft fruits and cocoa powder, brightened with a zing of citrus.

The Royal Brackla distillery was founded by the fiery Captain William Fraser, more than 200 years ago. As one of the oldest distilleries in the world, it enjoys a resplendent setting, close by the banks of the river Nairn. It stands in a serene rural spot, on the coastal plain that lies between the seawater of the Moray Firth and the rising slopes of the Grampian Mountains. In 2021 alone, Royal Brackla was awarded with 2 Gold Medals – in the CWSA and the International Spirits Challenge.
